Abstract Abstract: 【Objective】To adapt to the long summer and short winter in Southern China, this paper designed and built a plastic greenhouse. 【Method】The greenhouse had the double arc arch roof with skylight device by reduction motor, and designed ventilation window around the greenhouse. The shading system was installed both indoor and outdoor, and fan and pad system was used in the greenhouse. These designs could improve the cooling effect in the long summer. 【Result】The test results of temperature showed that the farmers should pay attention to ventilation of the plastic greenhouse during the winter when the temperature was high. The performance analysis of illumination proved that light transmittivity was 32.6%~63.3%, and about 54.4% in average. Although the illumination was much lower in the greenhouse than outdoor, it could basically meet the needs of plants for light. 【Conclusion】 The structure design of the plastic greenhouse is reasonable, and the cooling effect of ventilation is remarkable. Furthermore, temperature and illumination condition are good in winter.
